'A cooperative which promotes self-sustaining livelihood activities to augment its members’ income as well as to support indigenous peoples’ products.'

PRODUCER: Sitio Sulong Mother’s Association (SSMA)
'An organization of rural women of Barangay Gibon who, living in a dearth of employment opportunities, have bonded together to actively take part in the development of their communities. They have gone into home based production, the marketing of coco based products and handicrafts.'

'These manually hand crafted products are made from banana & cogon fibers by the women farmers of Katipunan, Panabo in Davao. The project is assisted by Katakus Inc., a resource center for the development of gender-fair technology.'

'A group of T’boli women from South Cotabato who have organized themselves into a cooperative of weavers. The sale of their products is being used to finance the care of their community’s health and other development projects.'

PRODUCER: Bahi Handicrafts
'BAHI provides livelihood to more than 100 women in the local communities of Bahi, Cebu. Surplus income from the handicrafts supports the communities’ projects, seminars, and welfare programs.'

'An association of concerned women of diverse occupations as well as housewives from depressed areas in San Andres, Caloocan, and Cainta. Its goal is to provide a means of livelihood for women and to popularize different indigenous crafts.'
